Tiger 3 Roars at the Box Office on Day 1: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Film Shines on Diwali

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s new movie, Tiger 3, had an amazing start at the box office. On the first day of its release in India, the film made over ₹44.5 crore, according to sacnilk.com. This spy-thriller is the third part of the Tiger series and the fifth installment in the YRF Spy Universe. The movie, directed by Maneesh Sharma, features Salman Khan as Avinash “Tiger” Singh Rathore of RAW and Katrina Kaif as Zoya Humaimi, both playing undercover agents.

Tiger 3 didn’t just release in Hindi; it’s also available in Tamil and Telugu. On its release day, November 12, it grabbed 41.33% occupancy in Hindi theaters. The film’s success was anticipated, with positive advance booking numbers. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared that Tiger 3 had already sold 1.99 lakh tickets a day before its release. He posted on X (previously Twitter), “Exclusive…Tiger 3 advance booking status at national chains… Note: [Sunday] Day 1 tickets sold…PVR Inox: 1.61 lacs, Cinepolis: 38,000, Total: 1.99 lacs tickets sold.”

In a review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee praised Tiger 3, saying, “In his third outing as superspy Avinash Singh Rathore alias Tiger, Salman Khan proves that there is always a great deal of excitement in watching an unstoppable hero in action. Katrina Kaif shares almost as much of the action as Tiger, making it gender-neutral and full of thrilling stunts.”

Before the film’s release, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif urged fans not to spoil the movie for others. They posted on their Instagram Stories, “We’ve made Tiger 3 with a lot of passion and we’re counting on you to protect our spoilers when you see the film. Spoilers can ruin the movie-watching experience. We trust you to do what is right. We hope Tiger 3 is the perfect Diwali gift from us to you!! Releasing in cinemas tomorrow in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.”
