The big Diwali release, Tiger 3, is still a little while away, but it’s already making waves. The film, starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi, will hit theaters on November 12. Even before its release, it has managed to sell more than 2,27,605 tickets for 9,558 showings, collecting ₹6.48 crore in advance booking.
Tiger 3, directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra, is a sequel to the 2017 film, Tiger Zinda Hai. It’s a ‘UA’ certified movie and runs for 2 hours and 33 minutes. The film also features Revathi, Ridhi Dogra, Vishal Jethwa, Kumud Mishra, and Ranvir Shorey. There are rumors that Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan will make cameo appearances as Kabir and Pathaan.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh thinks that releasing the film on Diwali might affect the initial response, as people could be busy with Diwali celebrations. He says it’s a bit early to predict how the film will do, but right now, things look excellent.
Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, Executive Director of PVR INOX Limited, is quite optimistic. He mentions that despite the Diwali release, they’ve already sold 100,000 advance tickets, including 60,000 for the first day. With Salman Khan’s massive fan following and dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu, the film has attracted a broad audience. He believes that Tiger 3 could cross the ₹200 crore mark in its first week, thanks to the long festive weekend.
