Tragedy struck when the head of the family passed away, and the Countess went missing. The family was left with a mountain of debt, and the responsibility to carry on fell upon the shoulders of Ray Lisbon and her brother, Hayes.
Seeking Shelter
With nowhere to turn, the siblings set out to find an old friend of their father who owed the family a favor in the form of a debt. Their journey led them through a dark and eerie forest until they reached a massive castle gate adorned with blood-red roses. Ray Lisbon is a bit inexperienced and sheltered, but she knows her limitations and is obedient. Her brother Hayes, on the other hand, is proud and arrogant.
Welcome to Clodan Castle
Upon reaching Clodan castle, they were greeted by their new master and butler. The first question they had for Ray Lisbon was whether she was married or not. Ray replied that she was not, and this seemed to please Clodan, the master of the house. He graciously offered them a place to live as long as they wanted.
Clodan, however, gave off an intimidating vibe, and when he saw Ray Lisbon, he seemed to have something else on his mind. Will our main character, Ray, be able to survive and find happiness in her new life, or is there something more sinister lurking in the castle?
