Shy is an anime based on a Japanese superhero comic. It’s about heroes who show up when the world is about to have a big war.
Meet Shy
The main character is a 14-year-old girl named Teru Momijiyama. She’s called “Shy” because she’s very shy. The show is made by Yasuhiro Nakanishi and directed by Masaomi Andō. It’s similar to “My Hero Academia” in some ways.

But there are differences. “My Hero Academia” has more heroes than Shy, and its bad guy, Stigma, is scarier. Shy has more human drama.

In the first episode, Shy stops a war and saves a girl named Iko Koishikawa. But she loses her powers. With the help of her Russian hero friend, Spirit, she regains her powers and makes new friends.
A Global Team of Heroes
Other heroes include Century (US), Stardust (UK), Mian Long (China), Doctor Schwartz (Germany), and Lady Black (Switzerland). They all answer to Unilord, who’s in charge but not a hero.
The Villainous Threat
In the future, a villainous group called Amarariruku led by “Stigma” may appear, threatening world peace.
