Thalapathy and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘Leo’ is on the verge of reaching a major milestone at the box office. This film, released on October 19, is close to crossing the 600 crore mark and becoming one of the highest-grossing Kollywood movies worldwide. Let’s dive into the details!

When ‘Leo’ was released, it received mixed reviews from critics. However, the loyal fans of Thalapathy Vijay continued to support the film, and it didn’t affect the number of people going to see it. In fact, the movie’s box office performance kept getting better, and now we’re about to witness another big achievement!

The latest box office updates reveal that ‘Leo’ has collected a total of 574.81 crores worldwide on Day 17. Out of this, 388.81 crores come from India, and the remaining 186 crores are from overseas markets.

With just about 25 crores more to go, Thalapathy Vijay will soon become the second Kollywood star, after Rajinikanth, to enter the 600 crore club at the global box office. He’ll also surpass the earnings of ‘Jailer,’ which made 605 crores, although ‘2.0’ holds the lead with 655.44 crores, a significant margin.

In terms of Indian collections, ‘Leo’ is aiming to reach 30 crores in the Hindi-speaking regions, close to achieving a ‘hit’ status with its current 25.25 crores.

‘Leo’ is the third film in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s cinematic universe, following ‘Kaithi’ and ‘Vikram.’ It’s also the most successful one in the franchise so far. The movie stars Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role, along with Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Trisha, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Madonna Sebastian, George Maryan, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, and Mathew Thomas.

On Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming projects, he will be seen in ‘Thalapathy 68,’ directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film has an ensemble cast that includes Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Sneha, Jayaram, Premji, Vaibhav, Ajay Raj, Aravind Akash, Mohan, Laila, VTV Ganesh, Ameer, and Yogi Babu.
