  • Ayane Sakura plays Awayuki Kokorone
  • Yū Kobayashi plays Sei Utsuki

  • Machico plays Hikari Matsuriya

Behind the Scenes

Takuya Asaoka, known for works like “Immoral Guild” and “Redo of Healer,” is directing the anime at TNK. Deko Akao, who has worked on series like “Noragami” and “Komi Can’t Communicate,” is overseeing the series scripts. The character designs are crafted by Reina Iwasaki, known for their work on “The Dawn of the Witch.” Live2D JUKU is responsible for Live 2D direction, and nizima LIVE is in charge of Live2D motion tracking.

What’s the Story?

The novels, licensed by J-Novel Club, tell the tale of Yuki Tanaka, a 20-year-old who went from being a regular worker to joining Live-On, a famous VTuber company. As the elegant Awayuki Kokorone, Yuki creates refined content. However, her subscriber count and savings are very low. One night, after Yuki mistakenly thinks she’s off the air, she makes some crude jokes while watching Live-On’s video archives. To her surprise, her viewers hear everything, and clips of her candid, tipsy commentary go viral overnight.

Yuki believes her career is over, but her manager has a surprise. He reveals that everyone at Live-On was waiting for her to let loose, and she’s given the green light to drink on-stream. Embracing her new “rowdy drunk” persona, Yuki fits right in with her fellow Live-On VTubers, who are just as wild as she is. With her views and income soaring, Yuki’s work is finally fun!

The Beginnings

Nanato launched the novel series with illustrations by Siokazunoko in 2021, and Roto Fujisaki started a manga adaptation in Kadokawa’s Comp Ace magazine on August 25.
