In this chapter, Minato, Cardiff, and Lucia are on a journey in a different world. They’re trying to find a powerful group called the Invisible Hand of Machina. It’s not going to be easy, though.
The Breezye Magic Circle Discovery (Chapter 23 Recap)
The chapter starts with Minato finding a special magic circle used by Lucia. He thinks it’s good but could be better. Lucia stops him from messing with it, but he does it anyway. He asks Lucia if she wants to try it, and she eventually agrees.
Improving the Magic Circle
Lucia uses the improved magic circle Minato created. It helps her see better and uses less magic power. Minato thinks it’s not perfect, but Lucia disagrees. She can now see really well.
Minato keeps tweaking the spell while Lucia tests it. After some trial and error, he makes it even better. Lucia can see so clearly now that she can spot a rabbit in a hole far away.
Hunting Rabbits
Cardiff wants to hunt rabbits for food because they taste good. She takes Lucia with her. Minato stays behind to test the magic circle himself. He adds a second phase to the magic circle so it can show the exact location of a target.
Improved Vision
Minato’s changes make the magic circle even better. He can see everything around him clearly. Cardiff and Lucia return with rabbits, and Minato stops using his spell.
Thanks and an Injury
Lucia thanks Minato for improving the magic circle, which annoys him a bit. Cardiff also agrees with her. Cardiff used to think it was a bad idea to mess with magic circles when low on magic power, but Minato changed her mind.
Suddenly, a fire rabbit they caught earlier gets away and hits Minato, causing his first injury in their adventure. Cardiff and Lucia catch the rabbits again, and the sun rises.
