In the previous chapter, Moon takes Edmund and the Ash Market gang to the second floor of Colin’s house while Lin is still inside. Lin discovers some creepy things in the house, like you’d expect from Colin’s place. He even finds some fragrant leaves and wonders if Colin makes perfumes.
But then, Lin stumbles upon a bottle of salt, usually used to ward off evil. He decides to turn the place into a tea-selling shop after Moon finishes renovating it.
The Ash Market crew worked hard and finished the renovation in just three days. Lin offers them some books, but they’re too spooked and want to leave. After they go, Lin closes the store and takes a look at the newly renovated second floor.
He tells Moon she can have her own bedroom now and encourages her to focus on her studies and rest. Lin decides to turn Colin’s house into a tea shop and plans to make Moon the owner.
Moon agrees, goes to her room, and leaves Lin with some free time. So, he starts going through the materials Cloud sent him. These materials reveal information about a conflict between the Alfreds’ Kingdom and the Gods, which surprisingly matches a dream Lin had earlier.
Then, he notices a sword on his table, picks it up, and the engravings on it start becoming clearer.
A Mysterious Encounter:
As Lin reads the text on the sword, a hand touches his shoulder. He turns around to find a spirit who introduces herself as “The Last Soul of The Alfreds.” The spirit vanishes into thin air, but Lin is left trembling with fear, something he’s never experienced before.
