Today, we have the latest news about the G20 Summit happening in Delhi in 2023.

World Leaders Arriving in Delhi: Leaders from around the world are coming to New Delhi today for the G20 Summit. Some of the notable names include UK PM Rishi Sunak, US President Joe Biden, Chinese Premier Li Qiang, and Australian PM Anthony Albanese.

Spain’s Prime Minister Can’t Attend: Unfortunately, Spain’s caretaker prime minister, Pedro Sanchez, won’t be able to make it to the G20 Summit because he has COVID-19.

Other Leaders Arriving Today: There are more leaders on their way to Delhi. These include Japanese PM Fumio Kishida, Italian PM Giorgia Meloni, UAE President HH Shaikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and French President Emmanuel Macron.

Chinese President Xi Jinping’s Absence: Notably, Chinese President Xi Jinping won’t be attending the summit. People are wondering if this is because of issues with the US or if it’s a snub to India. Hemant Adlakha explores this question.

Delhi Prepared for the Summit: Delhi is all set to welcome leaders from different countries. There are restrictions in place around the NDMC area, which means no Swiggy or Zomato deliveries for the weekend. At Bharat Mandapam, there’s a huge statue of Lord Shiva in his cosmic dance, and it’s 27 feet tall. This is where the G20 Summit will take place.
